Working from home can take a toll on your health, muscles, and overall health if you sit straight without stretching! Make sure to relax every 30 minutes or so. If you don’t, then your shoulder, neck, and back can end up aching a lot more than you expect with continuous sitting.

Daily Stretches to do at your desk

For Shoulders and Back

So, first, we will talk about the muscles in your back and shoulders. You must do them three minutes for about 2 times a day. Let us learn the stretches.

Cross Body Shoulder stretch

You have to hold the stretching position for about 320 seconds and repeat each side three times as said 1-2 times a day.

Overhead Shoulder Stretch

You have to hold the stretching position for about 320 seconds and repeat each side three times as said 1-2 times a day.

Chest and Upper Back Stretch

You have to hold the stretching position for about 320 seconds and repeat each side three times as said 1-2 times a day.

For Neck Pain

Take out a few more minutes for your neck pain. Do the following stretches for your neck to relax.

  • Head rotations, left and right
  • Head tilt, forward and backward
  • Side bend (ear to shoulder), left and right
  • Shoulder shrugs x 5/6
  • Shoulder rows x 5/6
